They are free and downloadable meaning you can have them on hand for quick referencing, day or night.

Age-Appropriate Wake Time Chart

We want to emphasise just how important it is for your baby to fall into a routine. A big part of that is their sleep routine. There are many benefits to having a structure in place, for yourself too. As your baby grows, their sleep needs change. You want to have as many resources at your disposal as possible. That's where ‘age appropriate wake windows’ charts are most important. Their purpose is to help you to find the right balance between nap time and awake time which is important for your baby to get the sleep they need to develop and grow.

Baby Nap Chart

TOG Guide Chart

The TOG rating is a measure of the thermal insulation or warmth provided by a sleep suit or sleeping bag. It is commonly used to determine the suitability of a sleep suit for different seasons or temperature conditions. TOG stands for "Thermal Overall Grade" and is a unit of measurement that indicates how effectively a fabric or material traps body heat.

The higher the TOG rating, the warmer the sleep suit will be. Here is a general guideline for TOG ratings in sleep suits:

  • 0.2 - 1.0 TOG: These sleep suits are ideal for warmer room temperatures or summer months. They provide minimal insulation and are designed to keep the baby cool and comfortable.

  • 1.0 - 2.5 TOG: These sleep suits are suitable for standard room temperatures or transitional seasons like spring and autumn. They offer moderate insulation to keep the baby warm and cosy.

  • 2.5 - 3.5 TOG: These sleep suits are recommended for cooler room temperatures or winter months. They provide significant insulation and are designed to keep the baby warm in colder conditions.

It's important to understand that the TOG rating is just one factor to consider when choosing a sleep suit for your baby. Other factors such as the baby's age, the room temperature, and the baby's individual preferences should also be taken into account. Always ensure that your baby is dressed appropriately for the room temperature to promote safe and comfortable sleep. As sleep specialists, we always recommend trying to keep the room at a constant temperature of anything from 21 - 24 degrees celsius, all year round if you can.
